Masterclass: Duplex Ultrasound of the Superficial Leg Veins

This e-learning course provides theoretical training in Duplex ultrasound of the superficial leg veins, including theory videos (lectures), downloadable PDFs, questions, and practical application videos with patients.

The course duration is 8-12 hours and can be completed independently or as a supplement to the hands-on workshop in clinical practice.

The content covers the anatomy of the leg veins, the fundamentals of ultrasound in phlebology, venous flow physiology, explanations of pathophysiology, and various provocation maneuvers. It also addresses the pathology of the great saphenous vein, small saphenous vein, accessory veins, tributaries and perforator veins.

Furthermore, the course includes the diagnosis of superficial vein thrombosis, providing decision-making aids for SVT therapy. It also covers ultrasound examination of edema and other pathological findings that may be observed during a leg vein examination.
